Michael Simoff

Michael Simoff has over three decades of experience as an investment professional. He most recently served as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Accelerate Acquisition Corp.; a New York Stock Exchange listed acquisition company. Previously, he was a Portfolio Manager (PM) at Elliott Management Corp., the New York based, global investment firm. He became a PM at Elliott in 2007 and participated in the growth of the firm from $7.1 billion in assets under management when he joined, to over $40 billion in 2020.

Prior to joining Elliott, Michael was the Head Investment Strategist for the Merrill Lynch Family Office.

Previously, he managed the portfolio of a private investor based in Geneva, Switzerland. The portfolio included a global allocation of funds and direct investments in a wide range of companies. He began his career as a field geologist specializing in metallurgic coal. As the Head Exploration Geologist for Lookout Mountain Coal, his direct responsibility was resource identification, extraction and export.

He has worked with a wide range of management teams to set strategy, define goals and improve execution. His background in the physical sciences adds to an in depth understanding of the technical issues that drive performance.
